ON Saturday June 23, the Wales Community Centre was the venue for an event which saw the intrusion of heavy music well after midnight on the Patentia community.
We are considerate; we accommodate as persons enjoy their activities, but we are also expecting sponsors of events to manifest a high degree of responsibility and respect for us by ensuring that they comply with legal regulations governing social events, including the musical component. Some are suggesting, through kindness, that by 23:00 hrs, music from events should be terminated. The Wales Police in the area are with us, we know, but we are forced to appeal to them to do more in this area of ensuring that our peace is not disturbed by loud music. |
