HOEG CARIBIA on maiden voyage arrives in Guyana

The Hoeg Caribia cargo ship built about two months ago on its maiden voyage to the Caribbean docked in yesterday at the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) wharf. The ship which has the capacity to accommodate some 1,500 cars brought 350 cars to Guyana and is one of the largest cargo ships to come to the Caribbean. There was a gala welcoming ceremony aboard the ship on its arrival in which several GNIC officials and Minister of Transport and Hydraulics Robeson Benn participated.
